The whetstone is appropriate for the grinding and polishing of knives. The whetstone has a ceramic grain of 1000/4000.
The whetstone possesses 2 grains: a rough one for grinding minor faults and a smooth one to polish the knife edge. An edge sharpened with the whetstone keeps its sharpness for a very long time and cuts razor sharply every type of food. If the knife is polished as it should, it can be applied in professional use during 3 to 4 weeks. In privat use this corresponds to a period of more than half a year.
